Welcome to episode 73 of the AI Ireland podcast, the show that explores the applications and research of Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence on the island of Ireland.
Our mission is to increase the use of AI for the benefit of our society, our competitiveness and everyone living in Ireland.
In today’s show, we speak with Data Scientist Jane Delaney. At time of recording, Jane was a Data Scientist at Johnson Controls and has since moved into a new role with Laya Healthcare. From optimizing building performance to improving safety and enhancing comfort, Johnson Controls drive the outcomes that matter most.
During her time with Johnson Controls, Jane worked on the development of machine learning algorithms for smart building security systems, as well as projects within Anomaly detection, noise suppression, clustering, NLP, risk analysis and time series forecasting. She also worked with software engineering teams to translate newly developed models into scalable cloud microservices.
- How she got into the world of Data Science
- The interesting work she did previously with Johnson Controls
- Benefits that their products brings to clients
- Use cases of their work within Risk Insights
- The future of Security
